Nominations to the Leaders in University Management LUMEN 2015 Awards

Rectors and managers from 16 Polish universities were nominated for the Leaders in University Management LUMEN 2015 Awards. All together 26 individuals and teams were nominated, whreas the most of them went to Lodz Polytechnic (5) and Kozminski University (4).

Effective university management requires skils and experience. In order to disseminate the best practices, PCG Polska and Perspektywy Education Foundation initiated the LUMEN contest. The first edition of the  contest included five categories: University management, Innovativeness, Community outreach, Infrastructure, and Internationalization.

More than 160 projects were submitted to the competition from 63 universities. The LUMEN Jury which evaluated the submitted projects, was chaired by prof. Michal Kleiber and included some of the most renowned higher education experts, scientists and business professionals. After an in-depth analysis of all the documentation the Jury arrived at a shortlist of 26 projects from 16 schools. The winners will be announced at the LUMEN Gala.

Nominees to the 2015 LUMEN Awards included Universities (UJ, UW, UŁ, UAM, UMK and UWM), Polytechincs (PG, PŁ, PO, PW and PWr), medical schools (GUMed, UMŁ, UM Poznań) and non-public universities (Kozminsku and SWPS University). The biggest number of nominated projects came from Lodz Polytechnic (5) and Kozminski University (4).

The official results will be announced on November 23rd during the LUMEN Gala, part of the Conference for the Leaders in University Management.
