PCG Poland supports the idea of age-friendly housing
2021-02-05

In 2018 PCG Poland with Laboratory of Architecture 60+ Foundation (LAB 60+) worked on Multigenerational House model. This was the first implementation on a national scale, which has also been appreciated on the international level.

Multigenerational House in Łódź was certified by Homes4Life – European Certification for Ageing in Place. PCG Poland officially supports the idea of adopting houses for life changes.

Age-friendly housing provides:

  • accessibility,
  • community living,
  • security,
  • comfort,
  • privacy and ownership.
European Certification for Ageing in Place (Homes4life) concerns new and existing buildings based on the above issues. Housing conditions have a huge impact on the health and well-being of older people. Thanks to the adaptation of houses in accordance with the Homes4Life certificate, the elder persons have a chance to stay active longer, participate in society, protect their health by facilitate the provision of care.
